Homemade pizzas!

While making pizzas from scratch may seem like a daunting task, my family and I were able to make these within as short as four-five hours last weekend. We didn't even have a specific recipe until we searched for one on the internet. Now, making pizzas may not be a daily activity since most people have busy lives. However, while making these pizzas on the weekend, you can get lots of other tasks accomplished, for example, while the dough was rising, my sister and I decided that we would ride our bikes and get our exercise for the day/week. The beauty of making homemade pizza is obviously the health benefits compared to take-out and the fact that you can maintain a healthy lifestyle while making it. I got the recipe from King Arthur Flour and I will put the link down below but, contrary to popular belief, pizza has more health benefits than one might think. I have listed all of the benefits of making homemade pizza down below the recipe.

The Recipe

The Benefits
  1. Because pizza can have numerous toppings, you can put any vegetables or meat on it and instantly have all of your required nutrients for the day.
  2. You know what ingredients you are putting in and therefore can control the portions and amount of vitamins.
  3. There is way less grease because of the controlled amount of oil.
  4. The pizza is more naturally warm because it was not sitting in a pizzeria all day waiting to be heated up.
