Another Healthy and Interesting Breakfast
If you've ever gotten bored or tired of regular eggs and toast, then this is the breakfast for you!! I know that during the summer when I'm waking up to the same thing, I no longer look forward to that delicious meal. So one day, I was watching some YouTube videos and I saw in a morning routine that someone had combined your ordinary toast with an egg. Soon enough I was making this super easy breakfast and actually looking forward to getting up and making it. Down below, I have listed the simple "recipe" and the benefits to this meal. Additionally, there are some tips when making this or any egg recipe.
The Recipe
- One piece of bread (for a healthier option, get a loaf that says exactly "100% Whole Grain")
- One egg
The Benefits
- Quick breakfast for on the go, if desired.
- Combines the healthy carbohydrate in the morning for energy and the protein from the egg. Therefore, almost fulfilling the requirements of the health plate/pyramid (shown to the right).
- Only requires one pan and one glass.
The Tips
- To make the perfect sized hole in the bread, first you should just push the open part of the glass into the bread to make an outline, basically. I find it's best if you use a normal glass then place the bread on top (open part of glass up with bread right on top). Then just keep pushing each side down into the glass and eventually the inside will fall right into the cup.
