Quick and Easy Breakfast
Most people these days are always on the run whether it be for work or school, it seems no one ever plans time for breakfast. However, while popular belief may say coffee will wake you up enough for the rest of the day, this is actually completely false and extremely unhealthy. Your body is a machine and when it doesn't get the proper nutrients in the morning, it will not work to the usual levels. While coffee may have caffeine, this will actually make your body more hyper than it should be. If you don't have breakfast or some type of protein for breakfast, your body will assume you should be sleeping. When the caffeine wears off then, your body will be left feeling extremely groggy and exhausted. Because while your brain may have been working extremely hard, your body was unable to recognize that therefore your different levels of energy will not be consistent.
One breakfast I would recommend to people who don't have time to just sit down and enjoy breakfast, is an egg and bacon sandwich. You may be able to get one at your local delicatessen or you could even make your own since it is surprisingly not that difficult.
The Recipe:
- One egg
- Two to three slices of bacon
- One Roll (or english muffin for healthier option)
The Benefits:
- Quick breakfast.
- Extremely cheap.
- Many different substitutions can be made such as turkey bacon instead of Canadian bacon.
